Backup Schedule Troubles

Some how, I've managed to create a backup (disk backup) with three different
schedules. At 6pm each day, the database backups three times (three
different names).
What I'd like to have is... each Monday the previous Monday's backup would
be overwritten, each Tuesday the previous Tuesday's backup would be
overwritten, etc...
Now, I can't figure out how to remove the schedules, as it appears that I
only see one schedule and destination when I go in to the backup.
How do I get to a "clean slate" and accomplish my ideal backup scenario.

Backup of database fails ...

If anyone has any ideas on this one ... I'd appreciate it very
much ...
... I've got one database on our server that refuses to backup ...
several other database work just fine ...
... when I issue ...
BACKUP DATABASE [Kurtz_Inc_MSCRM] TO DISK = N'D:\MSSQL\BACKUP

... it responds immediately with ...
Msg 3636, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
An error occurred while processing 'BackupMetadata' metadata for

Msg 3046, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Inconsistent metadata has been encountered. The only possible backup
operation is a tail-log backup using the WITH CONTINUE_AFTER_ERROR or
NO_TRUNCATE option.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
... if I include the "WITH CONTINUE_AFTER_ERROR" ... I still get the
same error.
Thoughts? (If it matters, the recovery model is "Full")

If you add WITH CONTINUE_AFTER_ERROR your backup should complered
succefully

FYI ... the reason I can't really go back to the backup is that the
database appears to be functional from the users point of view ...
(it's a Microsoft CRM 3.0 install) ... and users have been putting
additional data into it - and - I don't have log backups back to the
time of the last full backup (which I suspect means I'm hosed)
Running dbcc checkdb results in ...

CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database
'Kurtz_Inc_MSCRM'.
DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your
system administrator.

That's one of my problems (from the original post) ... adding "WITH
CONTINUE_AFTER_ERROR" seems to have no effect ... I get same error
immediately after issuing the backup command.

backup LSN help

I've been working on some code to be able to reverse catalog a set of
backups into the msdb backup* tables, which was easy, but now I'm struggling
with the necessary code to create the restore commands for an arbitrary
point in time.
My question is what is the appropriate logic or psuedo code for walking a
tree backup resources to get to a point in time.
I believe the following to be appropriate logic, but would like
verification:
full backup id = (max (checkpointlsn) where finishtime<[point in time]) and
type = 1
differential backup id = (max(checkpointlsn) where backuplsn = full backup
checkpointlsn and type = 5 and finishtime<[point in time])
But I am still struggling with the T-log resources and how to put it all
together (like for example, if you simply cannot get to a given point in
time given a set of files, and only wanting to restore the necessary the
last t-log where the lsn hasn't changed in 10 backup files)
Help!?

Backup From ISP?

I am just starting to use MSSQL. I've used Access a while ago and for
the last 4 years or so have been using FirebirdSQL pretty heavily.
I have a MSSQL database hosted with our ASP.net application. I am
wondering how I can backup my database using Enterprise Manager. I can
connect and alter tables, etc. I've seen the backup tool, but am
having a bit of trouble figuring it out.

Database
Alternativly look at BACKUP DATABASE command.
I'm surprised an ISP gives you EnterPrise Manager, mine certainly doesn't.
Who do you use ...?
