I continue to receive a message alert that my backup job
failed for three of my servers every morning while in the
real sense the backups completed successfully. I did
reboot one of the servers but this did not reslove the
issue. Any help on this will be appreaciated please. Are these databases in Simple recovery mode? If so, any
transaction log backup will fail, and a SQL Maintenance
Plan will show an overall failure to execute (although the
full backups will run).
Also, have you tried restoring one of the backups that
completed? Another thing to check is to make sure the job
doesn't have additional steps, or operator alerts, or any
of the optional settings on. If execution of any of the
other activities should occur, overall failure of the job
may be flagged.
Also, in the job history, what is the exact error you're
receiving -- that is, when the Show Details option is
checked?

The job failed. The Job was invoked by Schedule 7
(Schedule 1). The last step to run was step 1 (Step 1).

PRIOR to backup fails... That would be doing the DBCC and having selected
"Repair" option.. This option requires the db to be in single-user mode. If
users are in the db, this step fails...
